Meditate Your Action will hold the space, so you can fill it with what you want to manifest in the world.
At MYA, we aim to clear a path through the mental fog to direct action. We seek to build a community of individuals of all backgrounds and lifestyles who value serving others. Through meditation, we will visualize how to be the change we want to see in the world while maintaining yogic principles of loving-kindness, compassion, and non-violence.
At MYA gatherings we discuss, meditate, and plan for action. MYA meetings are typically one hour long and consist of guided discussion and 20-30 minutes of meditation.
Whatever cause is powerful and meaningful to you, bring it! If you’re seeking a purpose and path to action, allow this group to inspire and motivate you. This space allows you to sit still and contemplate how to move forward, surrounded by those also seeking to serve others. All perspectives are welcomed, as is discussion of direct action in all forms that does not violate the rights and wellbeing of others.
Meditation sessions will be led by Emily Tara Sabalbaro, RYT200, and Katy Kopnitsky, RYT200, certified yoga instructors and regular meditators of mantra based, mindfulness, and contemplative styles. We will moderate discussions (but not censor them), so we can bring our focus to the barriers around and paths to direct action.
Your path to action is uniquely yours, and MYA hopes to help you clear it.
